A woman has opened up about being scammed twice by people pretending to be Keanu Reeves and why it happened for a second time.
In 2022, Katherine Goodson connected online with someone pretending to be John Wick star Keanu Reeves.
After sending money to the user, she quickly realized it was a scam and took to social media to warn others, however, she then received a message from who she believed was the real Reeves.
The 67-year-old was reportedly texted by someone pretending to be Reeves shortly after she moved to San Diego, the Post reports.

The message asked Goodson to send a gift card amounting to the worth of $500 to prove she wasn’t just interested in him for the money – Reeves’ net worth is an estimated £380 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth.
Goodson admitted to NBC 7 she ‘did send it’ but then asked to hear the messenger’s voice.
“Once I heard his voice, I said, ‘You’re not him,’ and I blocked him,” Goodson said, explaining she then shared her story online in a bid to warn others.
Unfortunately that wasn’t the last of her troubles with a Reeves impersonator and while Goodson’s warning may’ve helped others, it ultimately didn’t help her from falling victim to another scam of the same nature.

Goodson – who’s husband passed away in 2007 – said she was contacted by another person who, once again, claimed to be the real Reeves.
The messenger got in touch saying they’d heard about her being scammed and felt ‘awful’ and they began to text.
Goodson admits ‘ unfortunately, [she] wasn’t maybe listening to the warning signs’ and ended up falling in love with the fake Reeves, the pair reportedly messaging over a period of two years.

Despite messaging for multiple years, the pair never met in person, the user coming up with different excuses every time and putting her in touch with different ‘members of Reeves’ management team’ too.
Goodson ended up sending the user over $65,000 in the form of Bitcoin, gift cards and money.

By August earlier this year, she’d run out of money and that’s when the relationship with the fake Reeves turned sour and Goodson realized her mistake.

Now living in her car, Goodson explained she has nothing to lose in speaking out about her story and hopes to raise awareness of the type of scamming, resolving: “I don’t blame anyone but myself.”

Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves are still going strong after over 30 years of marriage.
OK, I’ll admit that it’s unclear if the pair are actually married, but the two Hollywood stars are sure under the impression that they accidentally wed one another while filming Dracula together in the 90s.
How on earth did this happen, I hear you ask?

When they were shooting the movie, their characters married each other and for the scene a genuine Romanian priest was brought in.
“We actually got married in Dracula,” Ryder shared previously.
“No, I swear to god I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, Francis [Coppola] used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So, I think we’re married.”

While Ryder and Reeves aren’t actually romantically involved with one another, the pair are still great friends and jokingly call each other ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ in light of their apparent wedding ceremony over 30 years ago.
Ahead of the release of her newest movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (the sequel to 1988 cult classic), Ryder was asked about her relationship with Reeves and if she’d ever star in a John Wick movie with him.
Interviewer and podcast host Josh Horowitz asked: “Could you ever seen yourself in [the John Wick] world?”

“If it didn’t involved a lot of stunts,” Ryder replied. “I’m thinking of my bones.”
She went on: “I would literally do anything with [Reeves]. He’s so special.”
Horowitz proceeded to ask Ryder what the text exchanges are like between her and the The Matrix favorite.
“We do text […] We always say who it is, even though it says it on the text,” Ryder shared.

“On his birthday it’s always like ‘Happy Birthday, my husband!’ and I’ll [sign it off] Noni. He’s always like ‘Hey, wife! Love you KR57’. On each birthday he’s like ‘KR57’ or whatever his age is. He’s always done that.”
Cute alert.
While the two celebrities are ‘married’, Reeves is dating Alexandra Grant.

It’s thought the two started dating around 2019 and Grant has since accompanied her A-list boyfriend to several red carpet events.
Meanwhile Ryder has been with her partner Scott Mackinlay Hahn for 15 years.
The Stranger Things star has never married (apart from Reeves, technically) and neither has he – which is probably why their apparent marriage has never caused an issue for the pair and their respective relationships.

Keanu Reeves has revealed that he may have been married to Winona Ryder for some 30 years.
The star of The Matrix and John Wick shared that he and Ryder may have inadvertently married… well, at least in the eyes of God.
It seems a little far-fetched as you might think that you would be aware that you were married to someone.

But it turns out in this case there may be an understandable reason why Wick was not aware of his and Ryder’s nuptials.
Now, actors can put themselves through a lot for a role.
Whether it’s dialect coaches, losing or gaining weight, learning a whole new skill, or with some ‘method’ actors getting frankly a bit extreme.
But getting married is a rather permanent commitment to a role.

So, how on earth did the pair end up potentially tying the knot and not know for three decades?

It’s from a moment in a film that they both starred in way back in the 90s.
If you like drama, shouting, weird victorian pseudo-science, and Gary Oldman with long curly hair then look no further than Francis Ford-Coppola’s 1992 film Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

The movie is a flawed but spectacular adaptation of the OG vampire story, starring Gary Oldman as Dracula himself, with Anthony Hopkins as his nemesis Van Helsing.
Keanu Reeves plays the unfortunate Jonathon Harker, an estate agent who travels to Dracula’s castle in the Carpathian Mountains to assist him in the purchase of an estate in London.
Ryder plays Mina Murray, Jonathan’s fiancé at the start of the story.
The pair marry after Jonathan escapes Dracula’s castle and is recovering in a nunnery.

The scene was dramatised in the film with a real Orthodox priest carrying out the wedding.
Speaking about this to Esquire, Reeves said: “We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests. Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So, I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.”
You might be thinking that they only did the bits necessary for the film, but Ryder claimed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that this is not the case.
