MrBeast has given fans a first look at his new game show that gives people the chance to a win a life-changing amount of cash.

The hugely popular YouTuber has become known for giving his fans the chance to win epic prices, with the 26-year-old giving away a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan, a 2020 Ford Mustang R Spec and a 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL Convertible to a handful of lucky individuals in Australia over the summer.

Now, following on from the success of MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) releasing his own version of Squid Game, he’s since landed another lucrative deal with Prime Video in what’s been dubbed as the ‘largest game show in history‘.

Titled Beast Games, it’s based on his YouTube show in a ‘fast-paced and high-production format’.

It sees 1,000 contestants competing for a $5 million cash prize – the largest single prize in TV and streaming history.

In recent days, its been confirmed that Beast Games will air on Prime Video on December 19, but only two episodes will drop.

The remaining eight episodes will then be released on a weekly basis.

Following the huge announcement, Donaldson has shared a first-look at his huge new game show:

Sharing a snippet on Twitter, MrBeast wrote today (November 25): “Here’s a little teaser for Beast Games!

“I spent over a year creating this 10 episode competition series, breaking 40 world records, building the craziest sets in entertainment history, featuring 1,000 players, and a $5,000,000 grand prize!”

“I poured everything I have into this show,” he went on, “I’ll see you December 19th on @PrimeVideo.”

People have since shared their excitement ahead of Beast Games’ release.

One person said: “This looks unreal! Gonna watch it for sure,” while another excited individual wrote: “CANT WAIT FOR THIS!!!!!!”

“This is so gonna absolutely crush all other game shows,” raved a third.

Elsewhere, someone else said that Beast Games will be ‘legendary’.

While there’s a lot of hype about the show before its release, it hasn’t all been good press for Donaldson and Beast Games.

Back in September, it was reported that a handful of contestants that took part in the pre-recorded series were suing for alleged ‘chronic mistreatment’ on the game show.

The complaint, which was filed on September 16 in Los Angeles, called for Amazon and MrBeast’s company to pay alleged unpaid wages and expenses and that the defendants be ordered to pay unspecified punitive monetary damages.

As well as this, the complaint claims that the production teams reportedly failed to prevent sexual harassment from happening, and did not provide participants uninterrupted meal breaks or rest breaks.

Turns out nostalgically hoarding all of your old DVD and Blu-Ray devices may’ve actually been worth it.

Do you remember the good old days where you used to go to a video store after school to pick out a movie to rent, having your friends over for a sleepover and maybe even treating yourself to a bag of popcorn or Häagen-Dazs ice cream?

Yep, you’re old. However, as sad as it is those days are now so far behind us, I have potential good news for you if you couldn’t bear to part ways with your DVDs – clinging onto them in a desperate bid to stay connected to your childhood – because there may be one in your collection which is actually worth a lot of money.

And this film isn’t some niche indie film that flew under the radar, it is widely considered one of the greatest in its genre.

The unfortunate truth is, despite this, in some countries you can’t stream it on any platform and you can’t buy the disks on Blu-Ray as they’re out of production.

You might be able to cop a disk if you searched on eBay but you then might have to fork over a fortune to get your hands on the disks.

Danny Boyle’s 2002 zombie apocalypse flick 28 Days Later is one hell of a film, but if you were of a mind to go and watch it now you’d hit something of a brick wall.

So you can see where we are going with this. Is it on Netflix? Nope. Depending on your country you might be able to catch it on Amazon’s Prime Video, but if you can’t, you could simply be out of luck.

So what do you do if you actually own a Blu-Ray disk of the film? Well, you can enjoy it to your hearts delight or you could look at selling it online.

If you bought it back in the day with the foresight that it would shoot up in worth, it is definitely your time to shine.

TikToker @unkn0wns0ldier11 laid out the situation, pointing out that someone over in the US was able to sell their copy for $110 because there’s no supply but demand still exists.

And it is for these very rare instances where stuff isn’t available digitally that I am such a fan of physical media.

So, go check your collection and see if you can turn over a lovely bit of profit selling the disk.

The writer of Amazon Prime Video show, The Boys, has revealed the one major concern he had for the series.

The R-rated superhero show will return for its fifth and final season, after a gory and explosive fourth instalment.

Many fans were gutted when it was announced that The Boys would be drawing to a close, while others were glad it would be ending on a high.

At the time, creator Eric Kripke wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter): “#TheBoys Season 4 Premiere Week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the Final Season!

“Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought.

“Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, cause the end has begun!”

Many fans were glad of the decision, with one writing: “Perfect amount, glad they’re not overdoing it. 5 seems like the best for every plot line.”

And another said: “I feel like 5 seasons is the perfect amount for any great show.”

Speaking to Collider, creator Eric Kripke has now spoken about the fears he has for the show and how the team are being ‘careful’ over the ‘choices [they’re] making’, so it doesn’t become the series ‘[they’ve] been satirizing for years’.

Speaking about The Boys universe and where they go from here, he said: “We’re gonna look at the chips we have on the table right now.

“I live in absolute terror of becoming the thing we’ve been satirizing for five years.

“The thing about The Boys is that it’s punk rock, and it hurts extra hard when punk rockers sell out.

“I’m really working hard to not sell out. We do these shows because we really care about them and we’re passionate about them, and they can tell fresh stories that we can’t tell in The Boys and not just be about rapid expansion but be very careful and mindful about the choices we’re making and being able to defend why we’re making them.

“I worry about that every single day. I just want people to say, maybe it’s for them and maybe it isn’t for them, but gotta hand it to them, they maintain a consistent level of quality.”
